Looking up the White Dot Trail
Route: White Dot Trail, White Cross Trail, White Dot Trail, (Mt. Monadnock), White Dot Trail
While the loop is recommended in the opposite direction, we chose to ascend the rocky White Cross Trail and descend the ledgy White Dot Trail. Snow free hiking with minimal bugs. Morning clouds had not yet parted, but views from the top were still quite good.

Directions to trailhead: From US 202 in Jaffrey, take Route 124 Northwest, then eventually take a right onto Dublin Road. Shortly after passing the Monadnock Bible Conference, take a left onto Poole Road. The state park entrance and parking lots will be at the end of the road. As of spring 2011, entrance fees are $4 per adult.
