Looking down the Canty Trail
Route: Canty Trail
For the second hike of the day, we headed up the Canty Trail. After passing through an abandoned camp, we eventually made our way to the actual climb. Warm and buggy, we stopped off at a cascade partway up.
After reaching the summit, we continued to the viewpoint, which provided some views toward Rutland, but was generally a bit grown in.

Directions to trailhead: To get to the Bucklin Trail trailhead, take US 4 West from Pico Ski Area. Downhill on the right will be Old Turnpike Road. The Canty Trail trailhead will be up this road on the left, with minimal room to park roadside.
