Green's Cliff Trail
State: NH
The highly visible Green's Cliff, located north of the Kanacamgus Highway, once had the makings of a trail to its summit. While it appears a trail was laid out, it also appears that it was never completed.

Green’s Cliff
A trail to this interesting cliff N. of the Albany Intervale was located by the P.M.C. in 1927-28. It leaves Sawyer Pond Trail on the L. just S. of Birch Hill Trail, and follows a logging road W. and N.W. to a lumber camp clearing, where it keeps R. After crossing a brook it turns sharply R. at a logging road junction, up a slight rise. (Care is needed not to miss this turn in descending.) Soon recrossing the brook it leaves the logging road, bears L. across a brook and turns R. on another road. It bears gradually L. and, at the end of the logging road, enters hardwoods and crosses a small brook (last water). It climbs steadily N.N.W. for 1 ½ m. to a fork. The R. (E.) branch is cleared only to the foot of the foot of the ledges. The L. (W.) branch ascends the W. end of the S. face of the Cliff, and then turns R. for a few rods, to an outlook.
Distances. Highway to beginning of trail 2 m. (1 hr.); to last brook 3 ¼ m.; to summit outlook 5 ¼ m. (2 hrs. 30 min.).

Green’s Cliff
This summit (2,903 ft.), N.W. of Albany Intervale, bears a series of interesting cliffs on its S. and E. faces. There is no trail. The Cliff has been climbed by means of a logging-road which diverges L. from the Sawyer Pond Trail a short distance S. of the Birch Hill Trail. Although the 1931 edition of this Guide contained a description of a trail which had been “located” along this route, it has never been cleared and can hardly be followed by one unfamiliar with the region. The Cliff may also be approached by turning W. off the Sawyer Pond Trail somewhat N. of the E. end of the cliff.
