1934 AMC White Mountain Guide
Farwell Mountain, near W. Bethel, may be reached by the Farwell Mountain Trail (W.M.N.F.), built in 1933. It starts from the old shook mill on the Pleasant River Road which runs S. from W. Bethel, follows logging-roads for 2 m. and then bears N.E. to the summit, 3 ΒΌ m. from the mill. There are extensive views from the summit ledges.

Farwell Mountain
Near W. Bethel, this summit is reached by the Farwell Mountain Trail (WMNF). It starts from the old shook mill on Pleasant River Road and runs S from W. Bethel, follows logging-roads for 2 m. and then bears NE to the summit, 2.2m. from the mill. The summit ledges provide extensive views. Last water is at stream crossing, 1.4 m. from the start.
