Nearing the ledges Route: Bushwhack Bushwhacked to the summit of Dundee Hill (1,421 feet...did not go to the unnamed 1,488 foot peak to the east) from the west. By staying on the western and southern slopes, I was able to bareboot to the summit. One could make it without touching snow. That said, the north slope still has a decent amount of snow, which required snowshoes when I went looking (unsuccessfully) for remains of the lift from the defunct Dundee ski area. There were good directional views to Chocorua from maybe 100 feet from the highpoint. In addition, there were fantastic views from some ledges at about 1,350 feet in elevation to the northwest of the summit, reaching from Chocorua to the Presidentials. I also noted evidence of an old trail, apparently coming up from the west or northwest, crossing over the summit, and perhaps descending to the east or southeast. No evidence of recent use, though.
