Looking down the Ridge Trail
Route: Ridge Trail
Lower Ridge Trail (aka Try Me Trail aka access road) had not been plowed after Wednesday's storm, so there was a few inches of snow with a crust up to around the ski jump turnoff. Above there, it had been groomed prior to Wednesday's storm, so similar conditions, but with more base. Very top portion below the tower had been groomed yesterday (via Alpine Ridge ski XC ski trails).
I continued along the ridge toward Gunstock for a sunrise perspective (not much of a display due to clouds). Lots of snow from drifting - probably 3-4 feet deep.
I wore snowshoes roundtrip and found them to be ideal. I don't think the ridge itself would be much fun without them right now!
