Looking up the Bucknell Trail on the way to Prospect Mountain
Route: Bucknell Trail, (Prospect Mountain), Scarboro Ridge Trail, bushwhack, (Durgin Hill), Scarboro Ridge Trail
On a wet Sunday, I decided to take part in work on a new trail in eastern New Hampshire. Using the private Bucknell Trail, we reached the summit of Prospect Mountain, then headed north on the work-in-progress Scarboro Ridge Trail. While there wasn't much to see in terms of views on this day due to the weather, the trail promises to be quite scenic.
