Rumney, NH

Trailheads, measurements, times, distances, and maps are all approximate and relative to the hike(s) as shown below.

The Rattlesnake Mountain Trail

Route: Rattlesnake Mountain Trail, (Rattlesnake Mountain), Rattlesnake Mountain Trail

Due in part to there being no plowed parking, the trail hasn't seen has much use as it has in previous winters. Generally about a foot or so of snow with a breakable crust on top. Trail had been barebooted and skied prior to the Monday storm, so it was a bit rough. A somewhat decent snowshoe track is now in place.

It was interesting to see most of the wind turbines not moving before sunrise, then firing up at sunrise (no change in wind, so perhaps it had to do with grid demand).
